Room Type 2

Bungalow Rooms

Comfortable, unpretentious, and right in the mountain

Five round rondavel bungalows sit on the hillside above the main Lodge buildings. Each bungalow has six individual en-suite rooms. Half the rooms face the mountain; the rest look out over the valley below or have a more sheltered outlook. The rooms are identically appointed – the difference is the view, which is reflected in the price.

Two bungalows have interleading doors between rooms, allowing families to create a connected two-room unit. Please indicate when booking if you need this configuration.

Available as King (extra-length) or Twin (extra-length). Mountain-facing rooms and valley-facing rooms available — indicate your preference when booking.

Best for: families, couples and comfortable mountain stays

The Backpackers is located just below the main Lodge reception, facing out over the valleys and the town of Phuthaditjhaba far below. On a clear morning, it’s one of the best sunrise spots on the property.
